This year’s Annual Scientific Conference is starting strong with Keynote Speaker Jim Abbott, a legendary one-handed Major League Baseball pitcher, sharing his inspiring story of overcoming perceived limitations to reach your dreams.

 

Abbott defied the odds to have a successful ten season career in Major League Baseball, highlighted by pitching a no-hitter for the New York Yankees. He was the first baseball player to win the Sullivan Award as the nation's outstanding amateur athlete in 1987 and brought the US its first gold medal in baseball at part of Team USA in the 1988 Olympics.
