Honoring Dr. Lowell Scott Weil Sr. |
Lowell Scott Weil, Sr., DPM, FACFAS has had an immense impact on the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the profession, and medicine as a whole.
Dr. Weil Sr. served as the President of ACFAS from 1993-1994, was a leading architect for the Annual Scientific Conference, and started one of the first Fellowship programs in podiatric surgery. He is known for developing revolutionary procedures, such as the Scarf Bunionectomy, and providing innovative treatments to improve patient outcomes.
He has been a mentor to many, who, along with the Weil family, have come together to recognize his accomplishments as he courageously battles Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr. Weil Sr.'s contributions to the field of foot and ankle surgery will continue to be remembered and celebrated for generations to come. Read more
