The science of podiatric medicine is continually moving to the next level, and research is what is taking it there. ACFAS supports the refinement of the art and science of podiatric surgery with a wealth of research resources and member publications, including:
ACFAS encourages members to understand the importance of clinical research to and to incorporate it in to their practices through evidence-based medicine. Members should also explore the possibility of participating in clinical research. Currently, ACFAS is sponsoring its inagural multi-center retrospective study on the first metatarsophalangeal joint disorders.
